 NOTE

• This brush cutter can be operated in either the right

side or left side position. The rope guide position is
fixed for right side position operation when shipped
from the factory.

• Adjust the rope guide position as shown in the figure

to allow the operator in the left-hand position to pull
the recoil starter with the right hand.

• When changing the position from right to left side, or

from left to right side position, be sure to stop the en-
gine and place the frame on the ground. Change the
orientation of the shaft and carry the frame on the back
again.

• Do not change the orientation of the shaft while carry-

ing the unit on the back.
Otherwise, accidental injury may occur.

 WARNING

• The product is equipped with a centrifugal clutch

mechanism, so the cutting attachment begins to
rotate as soon as the engine is started by putting
the throttle into the start position. When starting
the engine, place the product onto the ground in a
flat clear area and hold it firmly in place so as to
ensure that neither the cutting part nor the throttle
come into contact with any obstacle when the en-
gine starts.

8. Operation

STOPPING ENGINE

1. Release the throttle lever and run the engine for half

a minute.

2. Shift the ignition switch to the STOP position.

 IMPORTANT

Except for an emergency, avoid stopping the engine
while pulling the throttle lever.

ADJUSTING THROTTLE CABLE

• The normal play is 1 or 2 mm when measured at the

carburetor side end. Readjust with the cable adjuster
as required.
