1. Product description
Pulse to wireless M-Bus or LPWAN Converter
The PDC (Pulse Data Capture) module is used for
the integration of meters with pulse output in radio
systems or smart metering systems.
Typical applications:

Wireless remote readout of water meters with
walk-by or drive-by system
■
Radio transmission of the readings to mobile
or stationary receivers
By the means of the PDC module conventional me-
ters with pulse output can be integrated in radio or
M-Bus systems in an easy and cost-efficient way.
For this purpose, the pulse output of the meter
is to be connected with the battery powered PDC
module. For ZENNER water meter retrofittable with
pulser ZENNER provides corresponding PDC mod-
ules with ex-works installed pulse output.
The PDC module is available in following versions:

wireless M-Bus radio module according to
OMS-Standard (868 MHz), EN 13757-4
■
LPWAN-Radio module for LoRaWAN™
The EDC modules are each powered from a lithium
battery, which - depending of the version - has a
lifetime of up to 15 years (wM-Bus) and 10 years
(LoRaWAN
TM
).
Scope of delivery
PDC module with mounting kit and installation
instructions, possibly with Pulse Generator con-
nected ex-works for specific ZENNER water meter.
