SCALE RESETTING – TARE
The tare function is used for weighing more than one product
without taking them off the scale.

Place the first product on the scale, and read the
weighed value.

Then press the
, button to reset the value.

Place the next product on the scale, and read the value.
This operation may be repeated. The tare func
-
tion may also be used to weigh products in
a container.

The display will show a negative value when you remove
product from the weighing plate.
Press
to clear the value.
AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN (BATTERY SAVING
MODE)
The appliance turns off automatically if you don’t use it for
about 1 minute.
However, we advise to turn off the scale after
your work is done in order to maximize the bat
-
tery life time.
REPLACE BATTERY
The battery compartment
(6)
is situated on the bottom of the
scale. Before first use open the compartment and insert new
batteries.

In order to insert new batteries or replace old ones, open
the cover of the battery compartment
(6)
, and remove the
used batteries.

Insert three AAA 1.5 V batteries to replace the used
ones. Make sure the batteries are inserted with a right polar
-
ity.

Close the cover of the battery compartment
(6).
WARNING INDICATORS
Low battery indicator
– the display shows the
“
” sym-
bol. Replace the battery (see Replacing batteries).
Overload indicator
– the display shows the “
”.
Remove the weighed product to prevent damaging the scale.
Remember not to exceed the maximum permis
-
sible weight of the appliance which amounts to
5000 g (5 kg).
Load indication before you turn on the appliance
– if you
place a product weighing over 1000g on the weighing plate
before you turn on the appliance, the display shows the
“
” symbol.
Unstable indication
– if the appliance is unstable when
turned on, the display shows the
“
” symbol.
Exceeded nutrition value
– the display shows the
“
” symbol if the value for the weighed product
exceed the
“
”
value.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth. Do not
immerse the scales in water. Do not use caustic chemical
detergents.
All plastic components should be cleaned immediately
if soiled with grease, spices, vinegar or food with an inten
-
sive taste/colour. A contact with sour citric fruit juices should
be avoided.
