Slip vertical adjustment retainer ring (3-2/

) and clamp it tightly at the
desired height using clamp lever (3-2/

The angular position of the clamp lever
can be set to a position that is
favorable for the clamping procedure.
To this end, push the lever axially in
the direction of the column until it
comes out of the click stop and turn it
into the desired angular position. After
releasing the lever, it will automatically
snap in again by a spring mechanism.
CAUTION
The double boom has a weight of
approx. 15 kg; call on a second person
for help, if necessary.

Slip the double boom (3-2/
2
), aligned axially,
over the column and let it rest on the retainer
ring.
If the object to be examined shall be located underneath the double boom, install the
rotating/tilting head and column 32 pointing downward.
For the horizontal observation of high located objects, the double boom may also be used
turned about (rotating/tilting head and column 32 pointing up).

Screw clamp screw (3-2/

) into double boom and tighten it.
