4.7 Window open/close detected
Your radiator may detect a significant drop in temperature, caused for instance
by a window standing open in winter. It then adapts its operation so that you make
energy savings.
When an open window is detected,
the on/off indicator of the blower flashes
green
.
IMPOrTANT
Your radiator should be placed close to the opening with no furniture
or other object nearby, to make the best use of this function. The quality of the
window open/closed function depends on a number of factors, such as the position
of the appliance, how fast the temperature in the room rises/falls, etc.
IMPOrTANT
The room temperature is measured near the radiator.
After opening a window, your
appliance should detect the associated
temperature drop within
15 minutes
. It
will then adapt its operating mode by
switching automatically to the frost-free
temperature (7°C).
When your room temperature
rises after the window is closed, the
radiator should resume its operational
state before detection was initiated
within 15 minutes.
By default, the window open/close detection function is
enabled on
your
appliance.
You can enable or disable this function by changing
parameter 9
of the advan-
ced parameters (
see chapter 4.10
).
NOTE:
The manual or programmed blower boost
disables the window open/close
detection function.
Detection will resume between
30 minutes
(period noted generally) and
2 hours
after the end of the boost to allow the regulator probe to find a normal
temperature level.

4.8 Blower indicators
When the
steady green on/off LED is on
, it shows your appliance is
running.
When it
flashes green
, the
on/off
indicator shows that an open window has
been detected (if the detection function has been enabled - see
chapter 4.7
).
When the
heating indicator LED lights up green
, it shows that the radiator
heating element is powered up.
When the
heating indicator LED lights up red
, it shows that an error has
been detected on the temperature sensor (
see page 56
).
When the steady green
Mode indicator is on
it shows that:
- your appliance is not connected to a programming base unit;
-
or
, your appliance is controlled by a programming base unit and this is
sending a Comfort mode command.
When the
Mode indicator is blinking green
, your appliance is controlled by a
programming base unit and this is sending a command other than Comfort mode (Com-
fort -1°, Comfort -2°, Eco, Frost-free, Heating off).
When the steady green
Boost LED is on
, it shows your blower is heating.
When the
Boost LED is steady red
, it shows there is overheating or else a
sensor malfunction on your blower (
see page 56
).
When the
Filter indicator is blinking red
, the filter is missing or positioned
incorrectly.
When the
Filter indicator lights up steady red
, the filter needs cleaning (
see
chapter 5.2
).
IMPOrTANT
The blower and the electric radiator operate independently of each
other. Your blower can therefore operate when your radiator is not heating, and
vice versa.
