BASIC MODEM MODULE
The system manages a modem module (provided on request), which allows for contact with the stove or boiler by means of
SMS in order to enable you to perform switch-on and switch-off operations, as well as request important information from the
system.
The modem must be connected to the board’s rs232 port via the supplied cables and connectors; it must then be powered by
mains voltage by means of the designated power supply.
•
Use a SIM card from any mobile phone operator with the GSM traffic data enabled.
•
Disable the SIM pin request.
•
Modem management is enabled by parameter a50 =1.
•
The SIM insertion and removal operations from the modem
must be performed with the modem powered
down.

Modem
The user must send an SMS to the number of the SIM card
inserted into the modem with one of the following key words,
which can be written indifferently in upper or lower case.
Start: switch on the system if it was not already active; the
control unit sends a message to the number from which it re-
ceived the command with the system status and any eventual
errors.
Stop: switch off the system if it was not already deactivated;
the control unit sends a message to the number from which it
received the command with the system status and any even-
tual errors.
Status: requests the status from the control unit; the control
unit sends a message to the number from which it received
the command with the system status and any eventual errors.
Learn: informs the control unit with regard to which mobile
phone number it should send the SMS to should errors occur;
this is the only key word that prompts the control unit to au-
tonomously send an SMS.
5.2
LACK OF MAINS POWER MANAGEMENT
Should there be no mains power, the system memorises the
most important operation data. When the mains power re-
turns, the system evaluates the saved data and, on the basis of
a number of pre-set values (modifiable by technical person-
nel), you have the following possibilities:
•
Lock activated:
o If the power was down for a brief period of time
(10 seconds), the system restores its previous
status
o If the system was in an On status and power was
down for a short period of time (10-60 seconds),
the system switches back on
o If the power was down for longer than 60 secon-
ds, the system is locked and displays error code
er15
•
Lock deactivated:
o If the power was down for a brief period of time
(a minute), the system restores its previous sta-
tus
o If the system was in an On status and power was
down for a longer period of time, the system
switches back on
