Grilling techniques
Using the grill
The figures 1-12 are grilling
temperature settings. The temperature
increases from 1 to 11 with automatic
control. The 12 setting indicates the
highest temperature.
This setting is ideal for, forinstance,
preheating the grill.
The table shows the approximate
settings for the different grill dishes.
NB! Pre-heat the grill element for
about 5 minutes at setting 12.
New Features of the Glass
Grill.
The new feature of the glass grill is the
grilling of whatever is being prepared
directly on the glass plate. The glass
grill is particularly suitable for grilling
meat, not least fine and lean meat.
However, fish and bread are also ideal
foods for the glass grill.
The advantage of the glass grill is that
the juices stay with the meat. This
ensures that the meat does not go dry,
but stays juicy and delicious.
On the other hand, the glass grill is not
suitable for grilling very fatty foods as
too much fat gathers in the grooves
without the perfect grill result being
acheved.
However, the glass grill offers other
options. The hot glass plate really does
justice to a large, oblong fish pan. The
glass grill is also the ideal heating
plate for pans and dishes.

Recipe for poached salmon in fish pan:
Poached salmon is a delicious choice,
ideal for cooking in a fish pan on the
glass grill. Mix about 1,5 litres of
marinade of 100 g sugar, 200 ml
vinegar, water, 2 bay leaves, pepper
corns and slices of lemon.
Poach the salmon in the marinade. Set
the glass grill on 12 until boiling
temperature is reached after about 12
minutes. Reduce to simmer. The
salmon is ready to serve after about 35
minutes. Butter-sauteed speciality
potatoes in parsley are the perfect
accompaniment to the dish. Green peas
and sauce hollandaise may also be
served.
