   GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

The 

Z3Cam-DX™

 by Z3 Technology is a Dual Spectrum Camera.  The Z3Cam-DX offers a distinctive 

combination of 4K Visible Video and Thermal imaging providing detailed situational awareness. The Z3Cam-

DX combines video compression expertise from Z3 Technology with Sony’s worldwide leading 4K camera 

technology and DRS Tamarisk’s renown thermal imaging. Independently and remotely control both the 4K 

and thermal camera while recording and simultaneously monitoring the streams in dual or Picture-in-

Picture mode. The Z3Cam-DX has 30x zoom using Sony’s patented Super Resolution Zoom, and high 

contrast thermal imaging.

 

The innovative Z3Cam-DX has multiple options for your IP transmission including 

MPEG

-

2 TS (UDP), RTP, RTSP, RTMP* and TSRTP. The system can output both H.265/HEVC and H.264 video 

over IP in 4K resolutions. It is also capable of producing a secondary stream with a smaller resolution or 

different codec. Camera control can take place remotely with a Web based configuration interface, ONVIF

 

Profile S and with VISCA control commands sent over IP to the Z3Cam-DX. The Z3Cam-DX leverages a Sony 

FCB-ER8530 block camera and a DRS Tamarisk camera.  

 

The Z3Cam-DX brings clarity and detail to high movement and low light conditions with optimized 4K 

technology. This unit captures stunning video with 30x zoom with integrated auto focus. The Z3Cam-DX 

provides crystal clear images for broadcast, industrial, medical, security and corporate applications while 

adding the ability to broadcast and analyze your video around the world.
