Problem: I do not see video in VLC. (UDP)
-Does the IP address set in Dest Address equal the IP address of the PC running VLC?
-Does the port number in Dest Port equal the value entered in the URL for VLC?
-Is the PC capable of decoding HD and/or HEVC on VLC? See section 9.1 for PC requirements and
configuration.
-Are all firewalls on the network turned off?
-Try connecting the PC directly to the camera without any routers, switches, etc.

Problem: I’m receiving a “Destination
Unreachable
” error in the
user interface. (UDP & TSRTP)
- Try rebooting by disconnecting power.

Problem: I do not see video in VLC. (RTP)
- One of the provided SDP files is required. Is the correct SDP file being used?
- H265(HEVC) video: use the SDP file entitled “z3-h265-HE2K-dck.sdp”
- H264(AVC) video: use the SDP file entitled “z3-h264-HE2K-dck.sdp”
- Is “Dest Port” set to 5004?

Problem: I do not see video in VLC. (RTSP)
-Is the version of VLC version 2.1.5 or newer?
-Are all firewalls on the network turned off?
-Try connecting the PC directly to the camera without any routers, switches, etc.

Problem: Video quality in VLC is poor (H.265/HEVC).
- Is the version of VLC 2.2.4 or newer for HEVC/H.265 decoding?
- Does your PC meet the requirements outlined in Section 9.1?

Problem: Latency in VLC is too high.
- Is the network caching value in VLC set to 200ms? Refer to Section 6.5 for more information.
When contacting Z3 Technology for additional support, please click the
Download device logs
button in the System Setup tab of
the user interface at the time the problem occurs and send the resulting .tgz file, along with screenshots of all applicable tabs in
the user interface to Z3.
