Cleaning
Instructions for use: preparing to express
Clean and sanitise all other parts of the pump, which come in contact
with breastmilk, prior to first use and after each subsequent use.
1. Disassemble all parts. (See page 8.)
2. Wash in warm soapy water.
3. Rinse well.
4. Submerge parts in a pot of water and boil for 3-5 minutes.
Use a large pot to avoid parts touching sides or bottom of pots.
5. Shake of excess water and air dry on a dedicated rack or
clean cloth.
A. Before first use:
1. Disassemble all parts. Put away those parts that don’t come in
contact with breastmilk.
2. Rinse remaining parts with cold water to remove breastmilk.
3. Wash in warm soapy water. Valves can be cleaned by gentle
rubbing between fingers.
4. Rinse well.
5. Shake of excess water and air dry on a dedicated rack or
clean cloth.
B. After each use:
• Follow cleaning step B1-4.
• Submerge parts in a pot of water and boil for 3-5 minutes. Use a
large pot to avoid parts touching sides or bottom of pots.
• Shake off excess water and air dry on a dedicated rack or clean
cloth.
How to sanitise:
Insert the valve into the valve
base from underneath. Push
the valve in as far as it will go.
Screw the valve base clockwise onto
the bottle until it is securely fastened.
Place the membrane into the
valve base from above. Make
sure it fits securely around
the rim by pressing down with
your fingers to ensure it seals
completely.
Attach one end of the tubing
to the connection point
on the motor unit and the
other end to the membrane
cap. Press the membrane
cap onto the membrane
until it is securely in place.
