1.   Remove the stock heatshield to access muffler 
      exhaust clamp.

2.   Loosen muffler exhaust clamp.

3.   While securely supporting the stock muffler 
      assembly, remove the muffler mount bolt and 
      carefully remove the muffler.

4.   Loosen the stock header clamp and remove 

underslung muffler mounting bolt. 

5.   Remove the underslung muffler. 

Note: If the motorcycle is equipped with a center 

stand follow steps in the Factory Service 
Manual to remove it before removing the 
underslung muffler.

1.   Install 

ALS-067,

 Aluminum spacer into the 

backside of stock rubber grommet located in the 
stock muffler mounting position.

2.   Install 

03019178,

 exhaust clamp onto 

19140NS720-RMA

 slip-on muffler inlet. Do not 

torque at this time. 

3.   Install muffler inlet onto header outlet and align 

muffler bracket to the stock muffler mount. Secure 
using

 M8X40,

 8mm bolt, 

M8ALCSW-00,

 

aluminum countersink washer and

 8MMNUT,

 

8mm flange nut, refer to diagram below. 

4.   Install 

YM5T-CFHS-SPCR,

 heatshield 

      spacers into

 19140-CFHS-2,

 heatshield 

      shown below.  

CAUTION:  Exhaust system can be extremely hot.  
 

        Let motorcycle cool down before 

 

        beginning installation. Always wear 

 

        hand and eye protection and take 

  

        precautionary measures to avoid  

 

        injury.

WARNING: Always properly support vehicle with 
 

        a stand and/or lift when servicing or 

 

        performing any work. Unstable 

 

        vehicles may present dangerous 

 

        conditions and may cause property 

 

        damage and/or personal injury.
