To restart a warm engine, leave the choke in the
RUN
position. Do not move the
choke to the
START
position when the engine is warm or the air temperature is high.
4. Pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance then pull briskly.

Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine, return it gently
to prevent damage to the starter or housing.
5. If the choke lever was moved to the
START
position to start the engine, gradually move it to the
RUN
position as the engine warms up.
■
If the engine stops and will not restart, check the engine oil level
before troubleshooting in other areas.
6. If you wish to use the Intelligent Throttle system, turn the Intelligent Throttle switch to the
ON
position after the engine has warmed up for 2-3 minutes.
