Turning the Power ON/OFF

Before Connecting the Power

Take the following precautions before turning on the power supply. Failure to do so can
result in electric shock or damage to instruments.

 WARNING

•  Make sure that the power supply voltage matches the instrument’s rated supply

voltage and that it does not exceed the maximum voltage range of the power
cord to use.

•  Check that the instrument’s power switch is OFF before connecting the power

cord.

•  To prevent electric shock or fire, use the power cord for the instrument.
•  To prevent electric shock, make sure to ground the instrument. Connect the

power cord to a three-prong power outlet with a protective earth terminal.

•  Do not use an extension cord without protective earth ground. Otherwise, the

protection function will be compromised.

•  If there is no AC outlet that is compatible with the power cord that you will be

using and you cannot ground the instrument, do not use the instrument.

 AVERTISSEMENT
