IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1.
Read all instructions before using and keep for future reference.
2.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
3.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
4.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has
been damaged in any manner.
5.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
6.
Make sure that the voltage shown on the rating label of the appliance corresponds with the one in your
living area. Ensure that the wall socket is properly grounded.
7.
To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug, or base in water or any other liquids.
8.
WARNING:
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with appliance.
9.
Never try to adjust the appliance yourself. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by an
authorized service agent or qualified technician to avoid a shock hazard. Return the appliance to the
nearest authorized service center for repair and maintenance.
10. Do not use outdoors.
11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
12. Do not place the appliance on or near hot gas or an electric burner, or in a heated oven.
13. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing water.
14. Always attach plug cord into the wall outlet then turn on the appliance. To disconnect, turn off the ice
maker, then remove plug from wall outlet.
15. Never touch the
appliance with wet hands or feet.
16. Do not operate appliance in any way other than the intended use.
17. The appliance is not intended to be controlled by an external timer or separate remote-control system.
18. If ice is abnormal, please call the seller.
19.
It is normal for the compressor and condenser surface to reach temperatures between 70°C and 90°C
during operation and surrounding areas may be hot. Please don't touch it.
20. Due to fast freezing, ice cubes may ap
pear “Cloudy”. This is trapped air in the water and it will not affect
quality or taste of ice.
21. When out of use, please open the drawer at least 2cm to allow for air circulation and avoid any metallic
components becoming rusted.
22. Fill with bottled or good quality tap water only. (Do not fill with fruit juices or other drink types).
23. Keep the air vents on the sides of the machine unblocked at all times.
24. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
25. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
26. This appliance is intended to be used for household use only. Any other use is considered inappropriate
and dangerous.
27. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damage resulting from failure to follow the instruction
sheet.
