FILLING THE FILTER WITH COFFEE
WARNING:
Do not use sugar roasted ground coffee or sugar roasted coffee beans as these will clog
the filter and damage the appliance.
1. Place the chosen filter in the portafilter.
2. Fill the filter with freshly ground coffee (do not overfill it).
3. Spread the coffee evenly over the whole surface of the filter and firmly press it in.
4. Clean off the edges of the filter from excess coffee to get the portafilter to properly fit its mount
in the espresso machine.
INSTALLING THE PORTAFILTER
1. Place the portafilter along the icon and fit to the insets in its mount.
2. Twist the portafilter towards the icon, until you feel resistance.
3. The portafilter is installed properly if its handle is directed perpendicularly to the espresso
machine.
PLACING THE CUP
If you are using a mug or a tall cup, place it on the drip plate. Make sure it is directly below
the portafilter nozzles.
If you want to use a small espresso cup, tilt the small metal tray open and place the cup so that
it is directly below the portafilter nozzle.
If you are preparing cappuccino or a latte, direct the frother nozzle to the cup using the nozzle
adjustment knob located on the milk reservoir lid.
