Door Open Function
When the cooker has been in maintenance for more than 10 minutes and the cooker
loses more than 15 degrees, the program interpretes that the cooking chamber door
has been opened. When this happens, there is a specific piece of programming that is
executed to speed recovery back to the set point.
Prime Button
The prime button overrides the program altogether and turns the auger continuously,
feeding pellets as long as the button is depressed. This is valuable anytime you have
had the door open for a long time and have lost significant temperature or if you want
to raise the cooker temperature from say 250 to 350° F. To use this function, press and
hold the prime button on for 60 seconds, then let off for 60 seconds. You may repeat
this twice allowing at least 2 minutes before repeating.
