OPERATION OF THE DETECTOR

Replacement of batteries

Open the cover of the battery compartment at the rear section of the device, remove the worn batteries 

and replace them with new ones. Pay attention to the correct polarity. Batteries must always be replaced in 

complete sets. In order to ensure correct and prolonged functioning of the device, it is recommended to use 

alkaline batteries by renowned brands. 

In order to prolong the life of the batteries, the laser indicator of the device will go off after approximately 20 sec-

onds, and once approximately 5 minutes have elapsed from the last time the button has been pressed, the power 

supply will be cut off. A single set of alkaline batteries permits to realise up to 5000 individual measurements. 

Turning the device on and off

In order to turn the device on press the switch and hold it for approximately half a second. Release the switch 

once the display has turned on.

In order to turn the device off press the switch and hold it for approximately three seconds. Release the switch 

once the display has turned off. Turning the device off cancels the last indication, but it does not erase it from 

the measurement memory and restores individual measurement.

Modification of the measurement unit

When the device is on, press the backlight/unit change button and hold it for approximately 3 seconds. Re-

lease the button once the displayed measurement unit has changed. Units change along the following cycle: 

metres - inches - feet - feet / inches.

Display backlight

When the device is on, press the backlight/unit change button. The display will be backlit. This will permit to 

read the indications easier under reduced visibility. In order to turn the backlight off, press the backlight/unit 

change button again.   

Single measurement mode

Turn the device on and pressing the button of measurement basis select from where the distance will be 

measured. Three settings are available to the operator: from the upper edge of the laser distance meter, from 

the tripod mounting hole and from the lower edge of the laser distance meter. The selection is confirmed by 

the indicator of the measurement basis. 

Press the switch once, which will turn the laser indicator on, direct the laser spot to the place to which the 

distance is to be measured, and then press the switch again. The laser distance meter will carry out a meas-

urement, and the result will be displayed in the last measurement field. In case of following measurements 

the results of the previous measurements will move up the display to the previous measurement field and at 

the same time they will be saved in the subsequent memory banks. 

Measurement surface

ATTENTION! It is possible to measure the surface of a single rectangle at a time. Surfaces of distinct shapes 

must be divided into rectangles and then measured separately, in order to finally add up the results of the 

measurements. 

Turn the device on and pressing the button of the measurement basis select from where the distance will be 

measured. Press the surface measurement button. The measurement symbol will be displayed with a pulsat-

ing edge. Carry out the measurement as in the case of a single measurement, and then measure the other 

distance. The measurement of the distance will appear in the result field of the previous measurement, and 

the calculated surface will be indicated in the result field of the last measurement. 

Measurement of volume

ATTENTION! It is possible to measure the surface of a single cuboid at a time. Volumes of distinct shapes 

must be divided into cuboids, and then measure each of them separately and add up the results of the 

measurements.
