DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT
The chain winch has been designed to lift loads. It must not be used as a tensioning element installed permanently or for other
purposes.
SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
The winch is a mechanical device which works under heavy loads. During work with the machine observe the following safety
recommendations.
Before you proceed to work with the machine, read the instructions carefully and keep them.
The winch must not be used to transport people or animals.
Check the conditions of the chain. In case broken or distorted links are detected, it is prohibited to continue working. The chain
must be replaced for a new one; in order to have it done contact an authorised service centre.
During work with the winch the chains must not be in contact at any point with sharp edges, e.g. corners.
Do not fi x the transported loads wrapping them with the chain and engaging the hook on the chain.
Do not overload the winch. Observe the maximum load specifi ed on the rating plate of the winch.
During a prolonged lowering of loads there is a risk of overheating of the braking system.
Do not leave a hanging load unattended. Make sure children and unqualifi ed persons do not have access to the area of operation
or storage of the winch.
Do not use the winch if the chain is tangled. First untangle the links.
Do not lift the load too high or lower it too low.
Make sure that all the elements (such as hooks, hook eyes, etc.), to which the winch is to be connected, will resist the load gener-
ated during operation of the winch.
It is prohibited to use the winch for any other purpose than for lifting loads.
It is required that during operation of the winch the operator observe at all times the transported load. Make sure particularly that
there are no people or animals along the route of the transported load.
It is prohibited to walk or stay under the transported load.
Do not allow the transported load to swing.
Do not use excessive force while lifting the loads, and particularly do not pull the chain. If lifting is diffi cult and resistance is felt,
stop the operation and send the winch for an overhaul.
Do not wear loose clothes or jewellery. Gather long hair.
Use individual protection means such as helmets, protective goggles, gloves, as well as appropriate protective shoes.
If the winch requires repair, contact an authorised service centre.
Be prudent, do not work while you are tired or under infl uence of medicine.
OPERATION OF THE WINCH
Transport of a load
Engage the fi xed hook to the eye of an appropriate resistance. Make sure the lower point of the loop of the control chain will be
within 500 mm to 1000 mm from the fl oor. Shorten the control chain, if necessary. It has a special link of a distinct colour; shorten-
ing must be done in an authorised service centre.
Engage the load to the mobile hook.
Tension the chain and make sure it is not tangled or twisted.
Moving the chain in an adequate direction, transport the load.
MAINTENANCE
The winch must be protected from humidity. Do not expose it to adverse atmospheric conditions, particularly to precipitation. Do
