3. Save data to the flash memory to write the changed IP address to the Adapter Unit.
a) Select
Adapter - Save to Flash
from the main menu.
The
Save to flash
dialog box appears.
b) Click
Start
.
Saving of data to the flash memory starts. When the process is completed, a dialog box prompting nor-
mal completion of saving to the flash memory appears.
c) Click
OK
.
4. Close the Adapter Tool.
Close the
MECHATROLINK-III ADAPTER Configuration Tool
window.
5. Change the DIP switch setting of the Adapter Unit to start from the flash memory.
Change the DIP switch setting of the Adapter Unit to start from the flash memory by setting the 5th pin of
the “SW1” DIP switch to OFF.
6. Restart the Adapter Unit power supply.
By restarting the Adapter Unit power supply, data in the RAM of the Adapter Unit is written to the flash
memory.
• After saving data in the flash memory, always change the DIP switch setting of the Adapter Unit to start
from the flash memory and restart the Adapter Unit power supply.
• The data in the RAM of the Adapter Unit cannot be written to the flash memory unless the power supply is
restarted.
