3. Getting Started
Note: Before software installation, do not plug Bluetooth USB Dongle into the USB port.
3.1 Software Installation
To install the software for the Bluetooth USB Dongle, follow the instructions below
(In some operating systems, the instruction steps won’t be the same as the
follows):
3.1.1 Insert the Installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
3.1.2 The
WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software - InstallShield Wizard
appears
automatically. If no window appears, explore the CD-ROM
and double-click
Setup.exe
. Click on
Next
to begin the installation process.
3.1.3 Select
I accept the terms in the license agreement
to accept the
license agreement, and click on
Next
.
3.1.4 Specify the destination folder where the software will be installed in your
laptop or desktop computer. Click on
Next
.
3.1.5 Ready to install the program. Click on
Install
.
3.1.6 A
Driver Signature Notice
dialog box appears. Click on
OK
to disable
unsigned driver warnings, and proceed with the installation.
3.1.7 A
Bluetooth device not found
dialog box appears. Click on
Cancel
to
continue installation without the Bluetooth device.
3.1.8 Confirm the completion of installation. Click on
Finish
.
3.2 Hardware Installation
Remove the cap and directly insert the Bluetooth USB Dongle into an available USB
port on your desktop or laptop computer.
