7.3 Dial-up Networking
The Dial-up Networking service permits your computer to access the modem
service to the Internet through a remote Bluetooth device. The device can be a
computer, a Bluetooth enabled cellular phone, or a Bluetooth enabled modem.
How to configure the Dial-up Networking service and to establish a Dial-up
Networking connection:
7.3.1 From the Windows system tray, right-click the Bluetooth icon.
7.3.2 Select
the
Local Services
tab, and double-click the
Dial-up Networking
service
.
7.3.3 Select the modem to be used from the Modems drop-down menu.
7.3.4 Set the Bluetooth Properties.
7.3.5 Click
on
OK
.
7.3.6 Open
Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood
. Right-click anywhere except on a
device item and choose
Refresh
from the pop-up menu.
7.3.7 Double-click the remote device that can provide the Dial-up Networking
service, and then double-click
Dial-up Networking
.
7.3.8 The
Connecting
dialog box appears. If your computer has not been paired
with the remote device, a
Bluetooth PIN Code Required
dialog box
appears. Click it and enter the PIN code on the
Bluetooth PIN Code
Request
.
7.3.9 Fill in the user name, password and the phone number to be dialed on the
Connect BluetoothConnection
, and click on
Dial
.
7.3.10 After successfully connected to the Internet, you can open a Web browser
to surf the net.
