OPERATION

ON/OFF SWITCHES

The hedge trimmer has a trigger switch and a Lock-OFF switch. They must be

 

used together to prevent accidental 

starting or injury.

Turn on the hedge trimmer:

1. Plug the power cord into an AC power outlet.

2. Push the Lock-OFF switch (1) into the down position and hold.

3. Squeeze the trigger switch (2) to turn on the hedge trimmer.

4. Release the Lock-OFF switch. The trimmer will stay on as long as the trigger switch is squeezed. 

Turn off the hedge trimmer:

1. Release the trigger switch (2).

2. Allow at least 5 seconds for the cutting blade to stop moving.

3. The hedge trimmer will be locked OFF until you press the Lock-OFF switch again.

WARNING:

DO NOT GRASP THE EXPOSED CUTTING BLADES OR CUTTING EDGES WHEN PICKING UP OR HOLD-

ING THE HEDGE TRIMMER.

WARNING:

BEFORE CONNECTING YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER TO THE POWER OUTLET, ALWAYS TURN THE 

SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION. FAILURE TO CHECK COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL START–UP 

CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY.
