Installing the line trimmer attachment shaft. 

(See Fig. 3 )

1.  Loosen the coupling connector knob by 

rotating counterclockwise on the power head 

assy.

2.  Align the line trimmer attachment shaft arrow 

to the coupler connector position hole until 

release pin locks in position.

      Note: 

You may have to rotate the shaft to find 

the right position for the pin to lock.

3.  Re-tighten the connector knob and make 

sure the shaft is fully secured in place

Removal of the line trimmer attachment shaft 

(See Fig. 4)

1.  Stop the line trimmer and remove the battery 

pack from the machine.

2.  Loosen the connector knob.

3.  Pull the release pin and twist the shaft then 

you can pull out the line trimmer attachment 

shaft.

Installing auxiliary handle (See Fig. 5)

1.  Uninstall the bolts on the auxiliary handle.

2.  Install the auxiliary handle on the shaft and 

then tighten the bolts with nut and make sure 

the auxiliary handle is firmly secured in place.

Attaching the Shoulder Harness (See Fig. 6)

-  Depress the harness clip and fit to the 

harness hook.

OPERATION

Inserting and removing the battery pack

To insert the battery pack

1  Align the groove on the battery pack with the 

corresponding mounting ribs and press the 

battery pack down until you hear a “click”.

2.  Check to make sure the battery pack is firmly 

secured into position- and make sure the 

handle is closed on top of battery.

Battery Pack Operation (See Fig. 18)

1.   When you push the power indicator button, 

the green LED lights will show the power 

remaining. (see Fig. 28

2.   When the battery pack over discharges or 

remains very low power, the red LED light will 

flash. (see Fig. 28

 ②

 )

3.  When the battery pack temperature is 

exceeded, the red LED light will flash. Cool it 

down for 10~20 minutes. (see Fig. 28

 ②

4.   When there is fault with the battery pack, the 

red LED light will flash. (see Fig. 28

 ②

 )

5.   Once the battery pack is correctly located 

in the charger, the 4 green LED lights of the 

battery pack will flash LED lights to indicate 

the charging process. At the same time the 

green LED light of the charger will flash 

continuously during normal charging, while 

the red LED light is still on. (see Fig. 28

To remove the battery pack from the tool (See 

Fig. 7)

1.  Depress the battery releasing/locking button 

on the housing.

2.  The battery pack will pop up automatically. 

Then lift/rotate the battery handle and remove 

the battery . 

Switching On/Off

WARNING!

Before operating the unit, remove stones, loose 

pieces of wood and other objects from the cutting 

area.

To switch ON (See Fig. 8)

1.  Press the Start button A until green LED light 

lights up. 

2.  Depress the safety lock button-B and 

squeeze the switch trigger-C at the same 

time.

3.  Select your required speed setting by 

depressing the speed adjustment button.

4.  Move your thumb away from the safety 

button.

To switch OFF

-   Release the on/off trigger switch. (ON/OFF 

button)

NOTE: 

Always switch off line trimmer before 

placing it down.

Speed adjustment (See Fig. 9)

This machine has 3 speed settings which can be 

changed with a press of a button.

1.  Ensure the line trimmer is switched ON, the 

LED light will be illuminated.

2.   Press the speed adjustment button and set to 

your desired cutting speed.

3.  If the speed is set to Max., press the speed 

adjust button again and this will reduce the 

speed.

      

NOTE: 

This trimmer also has the speed 

memory function, with the battery pack was 

kept in position. The speed setting of next 

use can be kept the same as previous use.

To Increase Line Length

1.   The line trimmer comes with a full line pool. 

2.   The line will wear in use and you will need to 

      feed out new line .

3.   The cutting bump head allows the operator to 

      release more line without stopping the motor. 

      As line becomes frayed or worn, additional 

      line can be released by tapping the bump 

      knob on the ground while operating the 

      line trimmer.

NOTE: 

For a good cutting performance. Cut high 

            grass in stages. Starting from the top.

Special notice for line trimmer use

1.  For best results, do not cut wet grass 

because it tends to stick to the cutting head 

and guard, prevents proper discharge of 

grass trimmings, and could cause you to slip 

and fall.

2.  Pay special attention when trimming next to 

trees and bushes. The cutting head could 

damage sensitive bark, and damage fence 

posts.

Removing/replacing the cutting bump head

WARNING: 

Before performing any 

assembly, always ensure that the battery pack 

has been removed.

If the nylon cutting line is broken and the nylon 

spool needs replacing.

WARNING: 

Wear work gloves when 

performing maintenance.

Note! 

Alway use Yard Force branded service 

          replacement parts - to prevent voiding your 

          warranty.

1.    Line up the spacer hole up with the hole on   

       the side of guard. (See Fig. 10)

2.    Place a small screw driver or metal rod in the 

       spacer hole. (See Fig. 11)

3.    Rotate the head clockwise to loosen and 

       remove.

4.    Reverse steps 1 - 3 to reinstall the same 

       cutting bump head.

5.    Make sure that the cutting head is securely 

       located.

Removing /replacing old trimmer line

1.  Press the two release tabs on the cutting 

bump head and pull the spool retainer out.

(See Fig. 12)

2.   Remove any excess trimmer line or 

obstructions from the spool. (See Fig. 13)

3.   Use a clean cloth to wipe away any debris 

from the spool, spool cover, or spool housing.

4.  Re-install the cutting bump head without 

new line. Make sure that the two holes on 

the each side on the retainer are in the right 

position. (See Fig. 14)

5.   Then align the tabs of the cutting bump cover 

with the posts on the spool housing. Push 

the cover until the tabs securely snap into the 

posts.

6.   Take an approximately 16 Ft. of 0.095" 

diameter cutting line through the cutting 

bump head, and then place the cutting bump 

head in the middle of the new cutting line. 

(See Fig. 15)

7.   Use the top cutting bump head cover to 

clockwise wind the new cutting line in the 

cutting bump head. (See Fig. 16)
