Replacing the transmission oil

a. Place the scooter on a level surface

and put it on the centerstand. The
engine must be warm.

b. Place a receptacle under the drain

plug. Remove the oil filler cap and
the drain plug.

c. Completely drain the transmission

case.

f. Replace the filler cap.
g. After replacing the final transmission

oil, check for oil leakage.

d. Replace the transmission case drain

plug and tighten it, always use a new
gasket.

Tightening torque of drain plug:

18 Nm (1.8 m.kg, 13.0 ft.lb)

e. Fill the transmission case with the

specified quantity of oil.

Transmission oil recommended:

Yamalube 4 (10W30) or
SAE 10W30 type SE motor oil.

Quantity of oil (periodic drai-
nage):

0.11 L (0.10 Imp qt, 0.12 US qt)

Total quantity (when transmis-
sion case is removed):

0.13 L (0.11 Imp qt, 0.14 US qt)

Do not let foreign material enter into
