CHECKING THE CRANKCASE BREATHER HOSE/

CHECKING THE EXHAUST SYSTEM

CAUTION:

2. Check:

crankcase breather hose

Cracks / damage

Replace.

Loose connection

Connect properly.

Make sure that the crankcase breather hose
is routed correctly.

3. Install:

fuel tank
Refer to “FUEL TANK”.

The following procedure applies to all of the ex-
haust pipes and gaskets.
1. Remove:

radiator assembly
Refer to “RADIATOR” in chapter 5.

2. Check:

exhaust pipe

muffler

Cracks / damage

Replace.

gasket

Exhaust gas leaks

Replace.

3. Measure:

tightening torque

Exhaust pipe nut
