CHECKING THE CARBURETOR JOINTS
The following procedure applies to all of the car-
buretor joints and intake manifolds.
1. Remove:

carburetor assembly
Refer to “CARBURETORS” in chapter 6.

2. Check:

carburetor joint

Cracks / damage

Replace.

Refer to “CARBURETORS” in chapter 6.

3. Install:

carburetor assembly
Refer to “CARBURETORS” in chapter 6.

CHECKING THE FUEL HOSES AND FUEL
FILTER
The following procedure applies to all of the fuel
hoses.
1. Remove:

fuel tank
Refer to “FUEL TANK”.

2. Check:

fuel hose

Cracks / damage

Replace.

fuel filter

Contaminants / damage

Replace.

Drain and flush the fuel tank if abrasive dam-
age to any components of the fuel line is evi-
dent.

The arrow mark on the fuel filter must point to-
wards the fuel pump as shown.

3. Install:

fuel tank
Refer to “FUEL TANK”.
