Using sound field programs
You can select from three different CINEMA DSP
programs (MUSIC, MOVIE, and SPORTS) depending on
the type of source you want to enjoy. The CINEMA DSP
indicator lights up in the front panel display when one of
the CINEMA DSP programs is selected.
• The CINEMA DSP programs are ineffective when My
Surround (see page 57), stereo sound (see pages 62) and My
Beam (see pages 63) is selected as the beam mode.
• If the CINEMA DSP programs are not available, “Prohibit”
appears in the front panel display when you press one of the
CINEMA DSP program buttons on the remote control.

Music program
Select this CINEMA DSP program when you play back
music sources. This program produces a vibrant
atmosphere and lets you feel as if you are seated in an
actual rock or jazz concert hall.

Set the operation mode selector to YSP.

Press MUSIC to select the music CINEMA
DSP program.
■
Movie program
Select this CINEMA DSP program when you play back
movie sources, especially the ones encoded in Dolby
Digital, DTS, or Dolby Surround. This program clearly
reproduces dialog and sound effects, thus creating a broad
and expansive cinematic space amid silence.

Press MOVIE to select the movie CINEMA
DSP program.

Sports program
Select this CINEMA DSP program when you play back
sports sources. This program densely concentrates the
vocal sound of the commentator in the center while
broadening the sound from the audience or the
environment all around your listening room.
