CAMSHAFT, ROCKER ARMS AND VALVES
CAMSHAFT AND ROCKER ARM REMOVAL
1.Remove:
●
Camshaft 1
NOTE:
Screw in a M10 bolt 2 into the thread hole
on the camshaft, and pull out the camshaft.
2.Remove:
●
Rocker arm shafts (intake and exhaust) 1
●
Rocker arms 2
NOTE:
Use a slide hammer 3 to remove the rocker
arm shafts.
Slide hammer set:
P/N. YU-01083-A
Slide hammer bolt (M6):
P/N. 90890-01083
Weight:
P/N. 90890-01084
VALVE AND VALVE SPRING REMOVAL
1.Check:
●
Valve sealing
Leakage at the valve seat
→
Inspect the
valve face, valve seat and valve seat
width.
Refer to “VALVE AND VALVE SPRING
INSPECTION”.

Checking steps:
●
Pour a clean solvent 1 into the intake and
exhaust ports.
● Check that the valve seals properly.
There should be no leakage at the valve
seat
