Example of using the [AUX IN] jack
The [AUX IN] jack is a stereo mini jack.
By connecting the [AUX IN] jack to other sound modules or playback devices (such as portable music players),
you can play along with the sound input from the connected device or just listen to music as it resonates from
the entire piano like a speaker. In the TransAcoustic mode (page 18) or Layer mode (page 19), the sound is
output from the soundboard, while in the Silent Piano mode (page 20), the sound can be heard from the
headphones.
You can use the [VOLUME] control on this unit to simultaneously adjust the volume of its electronic sound
and the sound received through its [AUX IN] jack. To set a proper balance of the levels, adjust the output
volume on the connected device.
NOTICE
Do not route the output from the AUX OUT jacks to the AUX IN jack. If you make this connection, the signal input at
the [AUX IN] jack is output from the AUX OUT jacks. These connections could result in a feedback loop that will
make normal performance impossible, and may even damage the equipment.
NOTE
• By default, this instrument uses a convenient Noise Gate effect to cut unwanted noise from the sound input via the [AUX IN]
jack. However, this may result in necessary sounds also being cut, such as the soft decay sound of a piano. To avoid this,
set the Noise Gate to off (page 47).
• If you listen to music input to the [AUX IN] jack without operating this instrument for over 30 minutes, the power is
automatically turned off due to the Auto Power Off function. To disable the Auto Power Off function, refer to page 16 or 47.
