Details of Self-Diagnostic Function menu
1. FIRMWARE
VERSION
The firmware version, checksum, destination, CPU type etc. are displayed.
The checksum is obtained by adding the data at every 8 bits (1 byte) for each program area and expressing the result as a
4-figure hexadecimal data.

2. FACTORY
PRESET
This menu is used to reserve/inhibit initialization of the backup IC.
Firmware version and checksum value of microprocessor
The firmware version and checksum value of microprocessor (IC11 MAIN P.C.B.) is
displayed.
DESTINATION
The destination (UC / GF / LV / KA / T) is displayed.
PRESET INHIBIT
(Initialization inhibited)
RAM initialization is not executed. Select this sub-menu to protect the values set by the
user.
Note: The protection history will not be erased using PRESET INHIBIT.
CPU TYPE
The microprocessor type is displayed.
PRESET RESERVED (Initialization reserved)
Initialization of the back-up IC is reserved. (Actually, initialization is executed the next
time that the power is turned on.) Select this sub-menu to reset to the original factory
settings or to reset the IC. Use PRESET RESERVED to erase the protection history.
REVISION NO.
The revision no. of SVN is displayed.
EEPROM CHECK
Frequency of writing into EEPROM is displayed.
CAUTION:
Before setting to the PRESET RESERVED, write down the existing preset memory content of the Tuner in a table
as shown below. (This is because setting to the PRESET RESERVED will cause the user memory content to be
erased.)
