Log on to the MusicCAST server
Follow the procedure below to log on to the MusicCAST server from the computer.

When using Windows, start the Web browser on your computer, and
then type “http://musiccast” in the browser’s Address field and
press Enter.
When using an operating system other than Windows, type the IP address of your
MusicCAST server in the browser’s Address field and press Enter.
The Editing library logon screen appears.
If the above procedure does not work when using Windows, type the IP address
of your MusicCAST server in the browser’s Address field and press Enter.

Select the language to use and click “Logon”.
The character set screen appears.

Check the displayed characters and click “OK”.
If the characters are not displayed correctly, select “View
➞
“Encoding”
➞
“Western European (ISO)” from the browser’s menu bar, and then check the
displayed characters again.
Your computer logs on to your MusicCAST server and the Edit title screen appears.
Now you are ready to start editing with your computer (see pages 12 to 19).
You cannot log on to the
MusicCAST server from your
computer in the following
situations. Also, you cannot
execute the following operations
on the MusicCAST server while
logged on from a computer.
• Sleep mode
• Editing library items
• Storing CDs
• Broadcasting
• Activating the MusicCAST
server recording timer function
• Locking the relevant Edit
functions
• Logging on from another
computer
To identify the IP address of your
MusicCAST server, refer to page
112 of the MCX-1000 Owner’s
Manual. However, please note
that an IP address may change
each time the MusicCAST server
restarts if using a DHCP server to
obtain an IP address. To identify
and change the DHCP server
setting of your MusicCAST
server, refer to page 110 of the
MCX-1000 Owner’s Manual.
The computer automatically logs
off from the MusicCAST server
after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Be sure to click “Logoff” when
you quit the Browser Edit
function. If you close the Web
browser without clicking “Logoff”,
the MusicCAST server continues
to lock the functions mentioned
above for 10 minutes, until the
computer automatically logs off.
Log on to the server again and
click “Logoff” if you wish the
computer to log off without
waiting 10 minutes.
