The shift light activation point can
be set between 9000 r/min and
13000 r/min in increments of 250
r/min.
1. Push the “RESET” button to select
the desired engine speed.
2. Push the “SELECT” button to con-
firm the selected engine speed.
3. Next the shift light deactivation
point can be set.
To set the deactivation point

The tachometer will show the cur-
rent deactivation point.

The shift light deactivation point

Be sure to set the deactivation
point to a higher engine speed
than for the activation point, other-
wise the shift light will not come
on.
1. Push the “RESET” button to select
the desired engine speed.
2. Push the “SELECT” button to con-
firm the selected engine speed.
3. Next the shift light brightness can
be adjusted.
To adjust the brightness
1. Push the “RESET” button to select
the desired shift light brightness
level.
2. Push the “SELECT” button to con-
firm the selected brightness level.
3. The display exits the shift light
control mode and returns to the
standard multi-function display
mode.

The welcome screen greets you when
the main switch is turned on “Hi Bud-
dy”, and when the main switch is
turned off “see you”. The user name
“Buddy” is set as the factory default,
but it can be set to your name.
To set the user name
1. Turn the main switch off.
2. Push and hold the “RESET” but-
ton.
3. Turn the main switch on, and then
release the “RESET” button after
four seconds.
4. When the first character starts
flashing, push the “SELECT” but-
ton to change the character in the
following order.
TIP
Push the “RESET” button to change
the character in the reverse order.
5. Push and hold the “SELECT” or
“RESET” button to confirm the se-
lected character.
6. When the second character is
flashing, push the “SELECT” but-
ton to change the character.
7. Repeat this process for all six
characters.
