Recall Play
What is “Recall Play”?
The recall play function copies the currently playing song and playback settings from a
source MusicCAST server or client to a destination MusicCAST component, then
starts playback on the destination component. You can select either the MusicCAST
server or a MusicCAST client as a destination component.
Using a MusicCAST client as a destination
component

Press and hold MENU for about two seconds. When the Top Menu
screen appears on the display, use

d
to select “Recall Play”.
Example: To continue listening to a song currently playing on a MusicCAST client in the
den, from a MusicCAST client in a bedroom.

If the source component is not
currently playing back a song,
the destination component
recalls playback information
from the point at which you last
stopped playback on the source
component.

The destination component
recalls playback modes such as
Random, Repeat, and
Broadcast from the source
device.

Operating the source
component after you activate
Recall Play does not affect the
destination component.
You cannot recall playback
information from the MusicCAST
server when it is playing back a
CD, MP3 CD, or a song recorded
from an external device.
You can edit the names of the
MusicCAST clients listed on the
Recall Play screen (see page 92
of the MCX-1000 owner’s
manual).
Press and hold RECALL on the
destination MusicCAST client
remote control then press one of
the following keys.
