Yamaha Security System

The Yamaha Security System is sold in
conformity with the relevant laws and reg-
ulations regarding radio wave transmis-
sion. Therefore, if this product is used
outside the country where it was sold, it
may violate the laws or regulations regard-
ing radio wave transmission in the country
it is used in. For details, consult your
Yamaha dealer.
The outboard motor with this label is equipped
with the Yamaha Security System to protect
against theft, which consists of the receiver
and remote control transmitter. The engine
can not be started if the security system is in
the lock mode, and only be started in the un-
lock mode. Consult your Yamaha dealer for
installation of the receiver.

If the engine starts in gear, the boat can
move suddenly and unexpectedly, pos-
sibly causing a collision or throwing
passengers overboard.

If the engine ever starts in gear, the
start-in-gear protection device is not
working correctly and you should dis-
continue using the outboard. Contact
your Yamaha dealer.
The remote control unit must be equipped
with a start-in-gear protection device(s). This
device prevents the engine from starting un-
less it is in neutral.

Mount the battery holder securely in a dry,
well-ventilated, vibration-free location in the
boat.
