Check that the alignment mark

essary, repeating steps 1–7.

Checking the gearshift operation

Check that the gearshift operates
smoothly when shifting from neutral into
forward or reverse. Adjust the shift cable
length if necessary.

Set the gearshift to the neutral position.

Loosen the locknut
