Bracket unit
Installing the hydro tilt assembly
1. Fully tilt the outboard motor up, and then
support it with the tilt stop lever

NOTE:
After tilting up the outboard motor, be sure to
support it with the tilt stop lever
1
.
2. Install the hydro tilt assembly on to the
clamp bracket.
3. Install the anodes and tighten the bolt(s).
Removing the clamp brackets
1. Remove the tilt pin, and then remove the
bolt(s), nuts, and hydro tilt assembly.
2. Remove the caps, then the self-locking
nuts.
3. Remove the pins and both tilt stop levers.
4. Remove the through tube, then disas-
semble the clamp brackets.
Installing the clamp brackets
1. Install the bushings

and tilt stop levers

to the swivel bracket

2. Assemble the clamp brackets

, and swivel bracket

, and then install the through tube

3. Tighten the self-locking nuts

to the
specified torque, and then tighten the
caps

4. Install the hydro tilt assembly
