Hard water or salt water is harmful to the
engine. Distilled water may be used if soft
water isn’t available.
h. Install the radiator cap.
i. Run the engine several minutes and
recheck the coolant level in the radi-
ator. If it is low, add more coolant
until it reaches the top of the radia-
tor.
j. Fill the reservoir tank with coolant
up to the “FULL” level.
k. Install the reservoir tank cap and
check for coolant leakage.
NOTE:
If any leakage is found, ask a Yamaha dealer
to inspect.
l. Install the radiator cover and the
seat.

High quality ethylene glycol anti-
freeze containing corrosion inhibitors
for aluminum engines.
Coolant and water mix ratio:
1:1
Total amount:
1.5 L (1.3 Imp qt, 1.6 US qt)
Reservoir tank capacity:
0.28 L (0.25 Imp qt, 0.30 US qt)
