1. Negative battery lead
2. Main fuse leads
3. Lean angle sensor lead
4. Anti-theft alarm leads (OPTION)
5. ECU (engine control unit)
6. Tail/brake light lead
7. Turn signal light lead (right and left side)
8. License plate light lead
9. Seat lock cable
10. Fuse box lead
11. Sidestand switch lead
12. Positive battery lead
13. Starter relay lead
14. Turn signal/hazard relay lead
15. Starter motor lead
16. Relay unit lead
17. ECU lead
18. Wire harness
A. Be sure not to pinch the immobilizer unit lead when
installing the ECU.
B. Connect the license plate light connectors and the
turn signal light couplers.
C. Fasten the wire harness and the tail/brake light
lead with the holders on the frame.
D. Connect the tail/brake light coupler, making sure to
position it under the wire harness and between the
battery box and the frame.
E. Position the anti-theft alarm couplers (OPTION)
between the ECU and the rear lower cowling.
F. Do not route the turn signal/hazard relay lead or
relay unit lead over the front of the battery box or
the damper.
G. Pass the negative battery lead between the battery
band and the battery.
H. Pass the plastic band through the hole in the rib on
the rear lower cowling from the front, and then
fasten the turn signal light couplers and license
plate light connectors with the band. Place the end
of the plastic band between the rear lower cowling
and the frame.

Pass the turn signal light leads and license plate
light leads through the hole in the rib on the rear
lower cowling.
J. Face the end of the plastic band to the left.
K. Cut off the excess end of the plastic locking tie to
0
–
20 mm (0
–
0.79 in).
L. Be sure to route the wire harness above the
negative battery lead and the starter motor lead.
M. Route the turn signal/hazard relay lead and relay
unit lead so that they are cushioned against the
damper.
N. Be sure not to pinch the leads between the battery
cover and the frame.
