ALIGNMENT -9
FM Squelch Adjustment
Set the frequency to 51.500 MHz in the FM-
Wide mode.
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : 12 kHz
Set the RF Signal Generator to -8 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Rotate the [FUNC] knob to select the alignment
parameter “2-037 FM SQL THW”.
Press the [FUNC] knob.
Set the RF Signal Generator to -8 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±1.75 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Set the frequency to 51.500 MHz in the FM-N
mode.
Rotate the [FUNC] knob to select the alignment
parameter “2-038 FM SQL THN”.
Press the [FUNC] knob.
Set the RF Signal Generator to 0 dBµ at the
51.500 MHz of a 1 kHz ±3.5 kHz deviation FM
modulation audio signal.
Set the Main Band frequency to 51.500 MHz in
the FM-Wide mode.
Rotate the [FUNC] knob to select the alignment
parameter “2-039 FM SQL TI”.
Press the [FUNC] knob.
Press and hold in the [FUNC] knob to save the
new setting and exit the alignment mode.
IF Trap Adjustment
Set the frequency to 10.100 MHz in the CW-U
mode.
Set the following controls as indicated:
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : 500 Hz
[WIDTH] : 500 Hz
Connect the AF millivoltmeter and 4 Ohm
dummy load to the EXT SP jack.
Connect the RF Signal Generator to the ANT
jack, then set the output level to +40 to +80 dBµ
at the 9.005 MHz.
Adjust L3098 and VR3001 on the MAIN Unit
for minimum deflection on the AF millivoltme
-
ter.
Press and hold in the [FUNC] knob to save the
new setting and exit the alignment mode.
