You may listen to the T uality of your transmitted signal using the 0 onitor feature.
1. 3 ress the [ MONI
] button. The “
MONI ” will appear
on the TFT display.

Clockwise rotation of this knob will inc
rease the vol-
ume level.
3. To switch the 0 onitor off again, press the [ MONI
]
button once more. Confirming that the 0 onitor is
now disengaged.

Because the 0 onitor feature samples the transmit-
ter IF signal, it can be very useful for checking the
adjustment of the Speech
3 rocessor or 3 arametric
(T uali ] er on SSB, and for checking the general sig-
nal T uality on $0 and F 0 .

To adjust the 0 onitor level
1) $ ctivate the 021 I circuitry, if necessary.

] button for one sec-
ond to enter 0 enu item “

”.

] button.
4) While speaking into the microphone, rotate the

VFO-B/CLAR
] knob
or press the S T button)
to adjust the monitor level.
) When you are satisf ied with the setting, press
the [ SELECT
] button, then press the [
MENU
]
button to save the new setting and exit to normal
operation.
