APPENDIX А. Troubleshooting
Situation
Possible cause and correction
LED does not signal when
USB cable is connected
USB cable or USB port is damaged. Replace the cable and/or try
to connect Device to another port.
All Device signals are red
with 10-second interval
Device is powered on, but is not connected with a PC (drivers
are not installed; device is disabled in PC settings; etc.). If you connected
the Device to a new USB port, re-connect it to the port used previously.
Please see chapter IV Table 1 for details.
PC software does not work
as expected
Record diagnostics data (see chapter VIII) and send it with a PC software
screenshot to technical support.
Application cannot open
Device port; write and/or
access errors when sending
commands to Device
Check the LED signals. If Device signals that the port is already opened
by an application, close all applications that can use the Device port.
In Linux, check the modem manager settings (see III.4). In Linux
and Mac OS X, be sure that you have permissions on the Device port
(see operation system manual).
Device does not accept
operation mode commands
If the LED signals that port is already opened by an application,
but you can open the Device’s port with the terminal or any program,
this may mean that there is incorrect handling of the DTR signal by
the PC software. Try the following commands (replace the port name
with your own) in operation mode command in Windows, Mac OS X,
Linux:
•
MODE COM3 DTR=ON
• stty -F /dev/cu.usbmodem00090001 hupcl
• stty -F /dev/ttyACM1 hupcl
