4. CLEANING AND MAINTENACE
The gun shall be properly cleaned after each end of operation and before storing. The cartridge
can only be left screwed on the gun if it will be used again within the next 24 hours.
A) Unscrew the foam cartridge from the gun.
B) Choose a suitable PU foam cleaner and follow the cleaner manufacturer's instructions.
Attach the spray nozzle (usually included with the cleaner) to the cleaner cartridge and apply
the product to the clamping nut and input valve (1).
C) Remove the spray nozzle from the cleaner cartridge and screw the cartridge onto the gun.
D) Briefly press the trigger of the gun and allow it to fill with cleaner. Leave on for a few minutes.
E) Then press the trigger several times at shorter intervals. A colorless, non-sticky liquid should
flow from the nozzle. If not, repeat the cleaning process one more time, or check if the cleaner
cartridge is not empty.
F) Unscrew and remove the PU foam cleaner cartridge from the gun.
G) If any foam remains on the body of the gun, use the cleaner to remove this as well.
If the foam remains/spots are not removed in time, it will cure after some time. In this case, the
foam can only be removed mechanically. Stiffened or cured foam can be softened with acetone.
Once the gun is cleaned, apply a small amount of oil to the input valve of the clamping nut (1)
and press with a thin, non-metallic object on the Teflon ball of the valve (wooden spit, toothpick,
etc.). Silicone vaseline or another suitable preservative can be used instead of oil. If there is a
residual amount of foam due to incomplete cleaning of the gun, the valve will not stick and at the
same time you can significantly extend the life of the gun.
The clamping nut and input valve shall always be kept clean! You can also apply a few drops of
oil on the needle of the gun, just in front of the stuffing screw (see picture below) and then pump
the trigger a few times. This will ensure even lubrication of this component and you can
significantly extend the life of the entire gun.
