WARNING!

•  NEVER

remove any cover without first disconnecting AC

power supply.

•  If A.C. voltage varies by ten percent (10%) or more, the performance of your ellipti-

cal may be affected. Such conditions are not covered under your warranty. If you

suspect the voltage is low, contact your local power company or a licensed electri-

cian for proper testing.

•  NEVER

expose this elliptical to rain or moisture. This product is NOT designed

for use outdoors, near a pool or spa, or in any other high humidity environment.

Maximum

environmental ratings are 40-120 degrees Fahrenheit, 95% humidity non-con-

densing (no water droplets forming on surfaces).

•  NEVER

operate this elliptical without reading and completely understanding the results of any operational

change you request from the computer.

•  Understand that changes in resistance do not occur immediately. Set your desired level on the computer

console and release the adjustment key. The computer will obey the command gradually.

•  NEVER

use your elliptical during an electrical storm. Surges may occur in your household power supply that

could damage elliptical components.

•  Use caution while participating in other activities while using your elliptical such as watching television,

reading, etc. These distractions may cause you to lose balance, resulting in serious injury.

•  Always hold on to a handlebar while making control changes.

Important Electrical Instructions

Important Operation Instructions

The FS 5.9e has an exciting electronic incline feature that will increase the variety of your workouts. When the

incline is at its lowest position you get a traditional elliptical workout. As the incline increases you will feel your

knees rise higher with each step, which changes the emphasis of the muscles being used. The power incline is

controlled by keys on the console and also automatically during the built-in workout programs.

Incline Adjustment

The elliptical is equipped with transport wheels, which are engaged when the rear of the elliptical is lifted.

Features

Power Switch / Plug-In

The foot pedals are adjustable to meet the users preference of pedal

angle. There are three angles available with a simple pull-pin adjustment

located under the footpads (see illustration). The lowest position will set

the footpads to zero (0) degrees at the bottom the elliptical stroke. The

second position sets the pedal angle at five (5) degrees and the third

position sets the pedal angle at ten (10) degrees.  Some individuals get

a numb foot from the compression of the nerves under your foot during

an elliptical workouts and some individuals have problems with flexibility

in their Achilles tendons. This footpad adjustability allows those users to

find the angle that works best for them. A side benefit of the adjustable

footplate is that you can change the emphasis on the muscles in your

lower extremities during your work out. The higher the angle, the more

you emphasize the quadriceps. The lower the angle, the more you

emphasize the hamstrings and glutes.
