1.1 Introduction
TC-965 is an Intel
®
Atom processor based platform ideal for a broad range of
high-definition video media PC systems from consumer set-top-boxes to HD media digital
signage players.It based on NORCO
’s signature fanless enclosure-ICE FIN,with high efficient
heatpipe design. A high performance Intel N270 Atom processor based 1080p HD platform. It
has a built-in ultra low power HD AVC/VC-1/MPEG-2 hardware decoder, capable of full HD
real-time decoding of H.264, VC-1 media contents at up to 40Mbps as well as playback of
Blu-ray. Playing back of 1080p H.264 HD video with the TC-965 uses less than 30% of the
2.5W Atom N270 CPU, 1080p WMV HD content uses even less.
Using this compact and easy-to-use network device, the users can control, manage and
program the transmission of the multi-media contents through Ethernet.In the applications that
can’t provide wired connection of ethernet, WLAN function can be used; while TV function is
needed, we can also choose TV tuner and HDMI to provide the high definition video.With CF
and hot-swappable SD card slot, this network digital signage platform will offer great facility to
the network based digital advertisements.
