Hydraulic brakes require brake fluid for its operation. Both front and rear brakes have a brake fluid reservoir
built into the master cylinders. Follow the procedures below to check and fill the cylinders with the specified
brake fluid.
RECOMMENDED BRAKE FLUID – DOT 4
1.
Clean all dirt and dust from the master cylinder cap
2.
Remove the cap screws
with s Phillips head
screwdriver.
3.
Remove the cap. Be careful not to damage the
diaphragm gasket that is seated under the cap.
4.
Add the required amount in to the master cylinder. (DO
NOT OVERFILL) (Always use fresh fluid sealed bottle)
5.
Replace the cap and tighten the screws securely.
6.
Squeeze the brake lever to be sure the brakes are
working properly.
7.
Check the brake hose and brake caliper for leaks.

Press the foot brake lever to be sure the brakes are
working properly.

If you are unsure how to re-assemble a part, contact your Xmotos dealer for servicing information and/or
servicing.
Be very careful not to spill brake fluid on painted
surfaces or it will damage the paint. It will also be
harmful to some rubber parts. Be careful when you
remove the master cylinder cap, make sure the
motorcycle is in an upright position.
