Aim antenna for best reception
For best reception, your XM antenna should have an unobstructed view of the XM satel-
lites in the southern sky. In large cities, XM has a network of ground repeaters to help
increase the signal coverage.

can help you aim the antenna for best reception.

Select Antenna Aiming , and press .

The Satellite and Terrestrial bars show the level of your current signal

Slowly turn and tilt the antenna until either bar is fi lled as much as possible.

Press .
Backlight Settings
To change the display’s brightness, backlight timer, and Auto Dimming status:

Press menu .

Select Change Display , and press .
3 3 Select Display Setting , and press .
4 4 Change:
• Brightness – Select Brightness , and press . Turn the knob to
adjust the brightness. Press when fi nished.
• Backlight – Select Backlight , and press . Select the timer setting
for the backlight. Press when fi nished.
