DocuMate 520 Scanner Installation Guide

Scanning from the Buttons on the Scanner

Pressing a scanner button scans the item and then sends the 
image to the printer or a software application on your computer.

To scan by pressing a button on the scanner:

1. Load a stack of documents in the Automatic Document Feeder 

or place an item face-down on the glass. See “Loading 
Documents to Scan” on page 16 for details.

2. Close the document cover, and press a scanner button.

The scanner starts scanning. The scan progress window 
shows a small copy of the image, as illustrated by this example:

The scanned image appears in the destination software. In this 
example, the destination software is the PaperPort desktop.
