PROBLEM ITEMS TO BE CHECKED HOW TO SOLVE
Scanning error
Defective image
quality
Abnormal noise
• Check the printer cable installed.
• Check how TWAIN driver is installed.
• Check harness contact.
• Check the IEEE1284 signal level.
• Check shading profile.
• Check the gap between original and
scanner glass.
• Check the scanner glass and any
mechanical disturbance.
• Check the motor driver in Driver PBA.
• Check correct installation, and use standard
IEEE1284 cable.
• Remove any other scanner driver.
• Reboot after reinstallation of the TWAIN driver.
• Check CN4 contact in Main PBA, CN1 contact in
Driver PBA whether each connection is tight.
• If any signal level is defective, replace Driver
PBA.
- U15-43~51 in Main PBA = 0.8V to 2.4V TTL
signal.
• Otherwise, replace Main PBA.
• Remake shading profile in the tech mode.
• The gap above 0.5mm can cause a blurred
image.
• Check the right position of the scanner glass,
and check the any mechanical disturbance in the
CCD carriaging part.
• If any driver is defective, replace it.
- U19 or U18-19 = 0V to 30V swing signal when
operating.
