Troubleshooting
General Troubleshooting
The following table helps you resolve some basic problems you may encounter with the
press. If the problem persists after following all the instructions, contact your Xerox
Representative or the Customer Support Center.
Note
Before contacting Customer Support, refer to the Customer Diagnostic Tool and the
Stock Library Manager Help for additional problem solving information.
Note
If your print server indicates that the press has a fault and the press touch screen does
not readily display a message, refer to the Error History Report (
Print Reports
/ Job
Status).
Problem
The press does not power on.
Suggested Solutions
• Ensure the power cord from the press is plugged into the power outlet / receptacle correctly.
If problem persists, press the main power switch inside the center front door to Off.

Firmly plug in the power cord.

Press the power switch on.
• Ensure the power switch inside the center front door is set to the On position, and then press
firmly on the On/Off button at the control panel.
• Ensure that the power supply is 200 -240 V (volts), 30A (amperes).
• Ensure that supplied power capacity is compatible with the specified maximum power con-
sumption of the press (2.8 - 3.1 KVA).
• Check the ground fault interrupter (GFI) circuit breakers.
• If the power in your location is working properly, and you have tried the suggested solutions
but the press does not power on, contact the Customer Support Center for assistance.
