Setting up PostScript printing with Windows 2000/XP
Completing the Windows 2000/XP printer connection
To print from Windows 2000/XP, you must:
• Set up network servers, if any.
• Set up the Fiery to accept print jobs from your computer.
• Configure a port on each Windows 2000/XP computer for the network type.

The procedures for completing the printer connection for Windows 2000 and
Windows XP are similar. Windows 2000 illustrations are used in the following
procedure, with relevant Windows XP differences noted.
Completing the Windows 2000/XP TCP/IP and Port 9100 or LPR connection
Once you have installed the PostScript and printer driver files, complete the setup
for the TCP/IP and LPR connection as follows:
• Prepare the Fiery to accept print jobs using TCP/IP and LPR protocols.
• Enable LPD or Port 9100 from the Fiery Control Panel.
• Configure the computer for the TCP/IP connection.
